The International Decision Support Initiative (also known as iDSI) hosted at the Center for Global Development, is a global reservoir of health, policy and economics expertise. We share our skills and expertise in the following six areas:
- Tackling healthcare challenges
- Strengthening health systems and institutions
- Generating and using evidence
- Smart purchasing for UHC
- Value for money for sustainable development
- Measuring impact
We do this with the overall aim of supporting low- and middle-income countries to make better decisions about how to get the most from every dollar spent on healthcare, and increase access to quality health services.
We are a collaborative network of global health researchers, policy makers and practitioners with unrivalled expertise. Our core partners include the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HiTAP); Imperial College London; National Health Foundation, Thailand; National University of Singapore; KEMRI-Wellcome Trust; Norwegian Institute of Public Health; China National Health Development Research Center; and Clinton Health Access Initiative.
With these partners, iDSI offers technical assistance to strengthen countries’ capacity for evidence-informed policy making. Our knowledge products range from methodological insights, tools and guides for practitioners, to country case studies. The F1000Research iDSI gateway therefore provides an open, accessible platform for sharing this knowledge globally.
