Rapid and transparent dissemination of open research in all areas of Social Psychology
Scope & Focus
Throughout history, human minds, identities, and behaviors have not operated in isolation, but have instead been shaped by the peoples, communities, and cultures they interact with. Whether it be through their neighbors, families, groups, political and religious leaders, or even something as abstract as prevailing social norms or cultural values, the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of individuals are influenced by these interactions – no matter whether they are direct, vicarious, or just imagined. Social Psychology is the scientific study of how these influences occur – it is about how people think, influence, and relate to one another.
Given the increasingly interconnected nature of our societies and communities, our ability to spread ideas, influence each other’s deepest hopes and fears, and even our perceptions of our own bodies, furthering our knowledge of this subject is more crucial than ever. This Gateway exists to facilitate a rapid avenue of publications on Social Psychology. The F1000Research publishing model is uniquely positioned to offer researchers in Social Psychology an avenue for quick and transparent, high-quality publication regardless of their research.
