This collection comprised papers published in F1000Research on the Mathematical, Physical, and Computational Sciences. It included both theoretical and experimental works of pure and applied research in mathematics, statistics, physics, astronomy, chemistry, materials science, earth and environmental sciences, computer science, and robotics.
As well as publishing traditional article types, the collection also welcomed submissions of Method, Data Notes, and Software Tool articles. Authors were required to make all underlying data accessible, in line with the F1000Research ethos of transparency, data sharing and collaboration.
