About Quantum Technology

Quantum technology aims to utilise the principles underpinning quantum physics to solve increasingly complex problems. There are now an ever-growing number of practical applications and technologies, where progress is being accelerated by embracing the possibilities of quantum science, including those in the areas of communications, simulation, sensing, and computing. However, a huge number of challenges still remain before the potential of this field can be realised. These challenges can be addressed more quickly and collaboratively if research methods, software, and data are made as open as possible.

Using the F1000Research open and transparent peer review model we are looking to create a forum for discussion and dissemination of research around these areas:
