Articles
Articles are published rapidly as soon as they are accepted, after passing a series of prepublication checks to assess originality, readability, author eligibility, and compliance with F1000Research’s policies and ethical guidelines. Peer review by invited experts takes place openly after publication. An article remains published regardless of the reviewers’ reports. Articles that pass peer review are indexed in Scopus, PubMed and
other bibliographic databases. All published articles are included in Google Scholar, irrespective of peer review status.
Authors are encouraged to respond openly to the peer review reports, which are published with the article, and can publish revised versions of their article at no further cost, if they wish.

F1000Research only offers the publication of scholarly posters and slides within gateways and collections (as of December 2019). If you would like to create a collection or gateway for the hosting of your community's posters and slides then please contact us.
Before you submit an article, please ensure that:

The work is original. The manuscript (or substantial parts of it) must not have been published previously, or be under consideration or review by another journal. Manuscripts that were previously posted on a preprint server such as ArXiv or BioRxiv are welcome.

At least one author is a qualified researcher (according to F1000Research’s authorship criteria) and has made a key contribution to the article.

The reported study meets all applicable research and publication standards. We strongly recommend that you consult our editorial policies for more detail on reporting guidelines and ethical requirements.

All methodological details and relevant data are made available to allow others to replicate the study, and that the manuscript adheres to appropriate reporting guidelines and community standards. For more detail, please see our policies and Data preparation guidelines.

All authors have understood F1000Research’s policies for article publication and its publishing model.

Your manuscript includes full author and affiliation information, and a conflict of interest statement.

You agree to pay any processing charges applicable to this submission. Following submission, we will ask you for the name and email address of the payer, the name of their institution and the country in which they are based. If based in an EU member country, we will also require a VAT registration number.
F1000 is a member organization of ORCID and supports the use of ORCID iDs where possible. For this reason, it is mandatory that the submitting author completes their submission using an ORCID iD. The process of getting an ORCID iD is quick, easy and incurs no cost. This can be set up during the article submission process, or via your details section on the My pages at any time. Additionally, co-authors are given the opportunity to connect their ORCID iDs via a link we send on the publication of the article.
What is ORCID?
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is an identifier for individuals to use with their name as they engage in research, scholarship, and innovation activities. It provides a persistent identifier for humans, similar to that created for content-related entities on digital networks by digital object identifiers (DOIs).
Why is ORCID good for you?

ORCID allows identification beyond names. Globally, names can be very common, they can change, they can be transliterated into other alphabets and so reliably linking researchers with their research and organizations can be difficult - this is solved through a unique ORCID iD.

An ORCID iD also allows you to keep a constantly updated digital curriculum vitae. Individuals decide to register, which research activities to connect to their ID, which organizations to allow access, what information to make publicly available, what to share with trusted parties, and what to keep private. Individuals can control their profiles and can change these settings and permissions at any time.
What happens after you connect your iD to F1000Research
Once you have connected your ORCID iD to F1000Research and given the necessary permissions, all work that is published with you named as an author, whether an article or a peer review report, will automatically be added to your ORCID account, removing the need for you to do this each time. In addition, wherever your name appears as an author or reviewer, we will link out to your ORCID account via an ORCID badge and your iD number, ensuring maximum exposure of all your research activities to other users of the platform (or those you choose to make public).
How we integrate with ORCID
F1000Research complies with ORCID’s integration and engagement program, Collect & Connect:
- we collect and store authenticated ORCID iDs for authors and reviewers
- we publicly display the iDs with the iD icon for those authors and reviewers, linked to their ORCID account
- we connect to the user's ORCID record and update it with new published works

投稿された論文等に対しては、まず掲載前に、オリジナリティ、読みやすさ、著者資格、ならびにF1000Researchの方針および倫理ガイドラインの遵守状況についての一連の確認作業が行われます。この一連の確認作業を通過した投稿論文等は、迅速に掲載されます。著者自身が推薦した専門家による査読は、論文等が掲載された後に公開形式で行われます。論文等は、査読報告の内容に関わらず、引き続き掲載されます。査読に合格した論文等は、Scopus、PubMed、Google Scholar、および
他の書誌データベースに登録されます。
著者は、論文等と共に掲載される査読報告に対し、公開形式で回答することが推奨されます。また、改訂のご希望がある場合は、追加料金なしに同論文等の改訂版を掲載することも可能です。F1000Researchの査読モデルについては

論文等を投稿される前にご確認ください

論文等がオリジナルであること。 原稿（またはその中核となる部分）は、未出版のもので、他の学術誌で審査・査読中ではない必要があります。ArXivやBioRxiv等のプレプリントサーバーに掲載された原稿については、投稿を歓迎します。

著者の中で少なくとも一人は本学に所属していること。著者が学生の場合は指導教員と共同での掲載が求められます。

本論文等で報告される研究が掲載要綱をすべて満たしていること。ガイドラインおよび倫理要件の詳細については、弊社の編集方針をご覧になるよう強くお勧めいたします。

本研究を他者が再現できるよう方法論の詳細と関連データがすべて公開されており、原稿が適切なガイドラインと当該学術コミュニティの標準を遵守していること。詳細については、弊社の方針とデータガイドラインをご覧ください。

著者全員がF1000Researchの出版と著者主導型の出版モデルに関する方針を理解していること。この方針では、本論文等に2件以上の査読報告が寄せられるまで、著者自身が適任の査読者を積極的に推薦することが求められます。

原稿に、著者とその所属に関する情報、および利益相反に関するステートメントが漏らさず記載されていること。

あなたは、提出に際して掛かる一切の処理費用を支払うことに同意するものとします。 提出後、支払者の名前とメールアドレス、所属機関名、および支払者の所在国を入力するよう求められます。
F1000はORCIDの加盟団体であり、可能な限りORCID iDの使用を推奨しています。そのため、ORCID iDを取得している著者には、ORCID iDを使用した論文等の投稿を義務付けています。ORCID iD取得手続きは簡便かつ無料です。ORCID iD取得手続きは、論文等の投稿手続きの際に行うことができる他、My Pagesの登録情報セクションからいつでも行うことができます。加えて、論文等の掲載後に弊社よりお送りするリンクを通じ、共著者もご自身のORCID iDを紐付けすることが可能です。
ORCIDとは
ORCID（Open Researcher and Contributor ID）とは、個人が研究・学術・イノベーションに関わる活動を行う際、自身の氏名と併せて使用することができる識別子です。人を対象とした永続的識別子を提供するものであり、デジタルネットワーク上のコンテンツ等を対象としたデジタル識別子（DOI）に類似するものです。
ORCIDの利点とは

ORCIDは個人名よりも利便性の高い個人識別コードです。世界には同姓同名の人が多く、氏名が変わったり、異なる文字で表記されることもあります。そのため、研究者と自身の研究や所属機関とを信頼できる形で結び付けるのは困難です。固有のORCID iDを使えば、そのような問題は解決します。

ORCID iDは、常に最新の情報が記載されたデジタル履歴書としても役立ちます。研究者は自由に登録し、自身のIDに紐付けする研究活動、アクセスを許可する機関、公開する情報、信頼できる第三者と共有する事柄、非公開にする事柄などを決定できます。また、自身のプロフィールを自由に編集し、いつでもその設定や許可設定などを変更することができます。
ORCID iDをF1000Researchに紐付けすると
ORCID iDをF1000Researchに紐付けして必要な許可を設定すると、著者としてご自身の氏名が記載された掲載物は自動的にORCIDアカウントに追加され、その都度ご自分で作業をする手間が不要となります。これらの掲載物は、論文等であるか、査読報告であるかの別を問いません。更に、ご自身の氏名が著者または査読者として掲載された際は、弊社よりご自身のORCIDアカウントに対し、ORCIDバッジとiD番号を通じてリンクを追加させていただきます。それにより、当プラットフォーム利用者（または特定の利用者）に対し、ご自身の研究活動を最大限にお届けすることが可能となります。
弊社におけるORCIDの統合の取り組み
F1000Researchは、ORCIDの統合と積極的関与のプログラムであるCollect & Connectに応じ、以下の取り組みを行っています。
- 著者と査読者のため、認証されたORCID iDを収集し保管する
- 著者と査読者のため、iDアイコンを使ってiDを公開し、各々のORCIDアカウントにリンクを追加する
- 当プラットフォーム利用者のORCID利用記録に結び付け、新たな掲載物がある場合は更新情報を掲載する
