Manipal Academy of Higher Education

Manipal is synonymous with excellence in Higher Education. Research has always been an area of paramount importance at Manipal. The foundation of Manipal was originated back in the year 1956 with the beginning of Kasturba Medical College at Manipal located in Udupi District, Karnataka State of India. Manipal became Deemed to be University in the year 1993 under the name Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Currently, over 28,000 students from 57 different nations live, learn and play at the Academy.

Scope of this Gateway
In keeping with the three faculties of MAHE, submissions to the Gateway are encouraged from the following subject areas:

• Health Sciences
• Science, Technology and Management
• Humanities, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences

Submissions to the Gateway are available under a wide range of article types, including Research Articles, Case Reports, Systematic Reviews, Brief Reports, Clinical Practice Articles, Opinion Articles, Data Notes, Software Tool Articles, Correspondences, Genome Notes, Method Articles, Policy Briefs, Study Protocols, Case Studies, and Review Articles.

Eligibility for publication

• At least one author on the article must be affiliated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

Payment routes for publication

• The Manipal Academy of Higher Education has a 'Read & Publish' agreement with Taylor & Francis, which includes the MAHE Gateway on F1000Research. Therefore, the institution may agree to cover the Article Processing Charge (APC) for your article.
• To be considered for this, the author affiliation must be stated on the submission form as 'Manipal Academy of Higher Education'.
• If MAHE decides not to cover your APC, you will be charged the prevailing APC rate based on your article type. The APC rates can be found here.
