The Political Communications Gateway provides academics, policymakers and industry leaders with a space to read and share research about politics, the media and the public. This research includes a broad range of topics across political science, communications, media studies and the arts. Subjects of interest include, for example, the role of communications in social movements, the relationship between media and politics, the impact of media and new communications technologies on political behavior, press coverage of politicians and political affairs, political disinformation, and the influence of public opinion on political leaders, to name a few.
Interdisciplinary by design and global in scope, Political Communications publishes articles that focus on local, national, or regional subjects, as well as comparative studies. The Gateway encourages innovative and inclusive scholarship and accepts empirical, theoretical and mixed-methods approaches. In addition, the Gateway particularly welcomes scholarship on open research methods and research ethics in political communications.
